J.M. DeMatteis is an American comic book and television writer, celebrated for his work with both DC and Marvel since the late 1970s. Known for acclaimed stories like Kraven's Last Hunt and the graphic novel Moonshadow, he began with titles such as Weird War Tales and House of Mystery. His television work includes writing for Superboy, Justice League Unlimited, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and Teen Titans Go!. Recently, he contributed to animated films like Batman vs. Robin and Batman: Bad Blood, as well as the Scooby Apocalypse comic. In 2023, DeMatteis launched The Demultiverse on Kickstarter, introducing a new lineup of characters and stories.
